Lauren Preller is owner and creator of fotopopART. 

Lauren Preller is a National Award winning photographer and artist who has been photographing the Charleston low country and her people for the past 15 years.  

Lauren has photographed the published book, “The Charleston Gardener”,  Wyrick Publisher 2000. She has also been published in Communication Arts, Southern Living, Garden Design Magazine, Charleston Chamber of Commerce Overview Book,  SKIRT! Magazine, Charleston Magazine, Cuisine Art. Her work has also appeared in many other national and local advertising campaigns.  

Prellers photography, with the advent of digital photography, has evolved into an art form, which combines both direct photographic images, as well as digitally manipulated images. The final artwork is then printed on large canvas murals, framed and installed.   

Currently she is working on several large artwork installations in several South Carolina State Buildings. The most recent and visible is in the lobby of the new 22,000 square foot Culinary Institute of Charleston. This work is ongoing throughout the building and should be completed by 2006.

In conjunction with the artwork,   Lauren has had success and much experience in portraiture, landscape, and commercial photography, which enhance style, originality and versatility to her artwork.
